What Is VPK?

VPK is a free program available to all Florida 4-year-olds, helping them develop essential early literacy, math, and social skills to ensure they start kindergarten ready to learn.

Who Is Eligible?

• Your child must be 4 years old on or before September 1 of the current school year.
• You must be a Florida resident (proof of residency is required).

Where Can My Child Attend VPK?

VPK is offered at participating private child care centers, public schools, and faith-based providers. Families can choose a provider that best fits their child’s learning style and schedule.

How Do I Apply?

Applying is easy and online! Simply visit www.elcnwf.org and choose Free Voluntary Pre-kindergarten in the Families tab get started! You will be able to submit your application, upload required documents, and receive your VPK Certificate of Eligibility.
